Greddy bluebox question???
Alright Im abotu to buy this 18g greddy kit off my friends 99 SI for my b16a in my 92 hatch. along with everything, He is also giving me his blue box for it.
My question is, Do i have to get an obd2b ecu to run the bluebox or can i keep my obd1 ecu (p72)?
Also Im new to turbo stuff, what else (if anything) do i need for my set up? I have a stock b16a in my hatch that dynod at 150whp. I dont have AC or PS and only plan to boost 8psi. Should i maybe invest in a vafc to lean out my fuel curve some? Just shoot me something that might help me out.
Thanks for the Info..

The Blue Box will not run correctly with the OBD1 ECU. You'll end up getting an injector failure check engine light. You'll need the Emanage as the Profec E-01 is just a boost controller without the Emanage plugged in.
Personally after having the Greddy kit with the regular Blue Box I would rather just run an FMU and inline fuel pump.

Re: Greddy bluebox question??? (iiilgsrlll)
i ran a greddy kit (still do, only with uberdata) on the blue box. I never once drove the car without a wideband isntalled. I drove the car for a bunch of months before i was ready to start tuning it. Its just really really rich. Your good till you step on the throttle, anywhere past around 15 inches (towards boost) and your 10.5 to 1. other than that your on the stock Honda map. Its meant to run with the 99si ecu. hope that helps
