Default Big hondata problem, help!! thanks

OK engine was just rebuilt. When ever the hondata cable is pluged into the ECU the car will not go over 1,000rpm without back firing and missing as if the plug wires were wrong. The setup is a 3b with 450dsm's However when i put a nonhondata chip in the ecu or i just unplug the hondata box then the car is driveable. It just uses twice the fuel due to digger injectors. any ideas? can i send the box back for it to be fixed?

Is the light flashing or steady on the blue box when you plug it in?
