Default BIG BOOST ISSUE...PLEASE HELPPP

Hi guys,

I have been dealing with a major boost issue for the last couple of days. Meaning I dont get boost at all. Car has b18c GSR engine with a full race turbo Setup T67HO on it. I did the following troubleshooting processes:

-Used compressed air into the TURBO compressor housing into the charge pipe with WOT and Closed throttle ( air stays in the piping) so no leak in the charge pipe
- I logged down with mt laptop in Neptune software while compressing air I get 10 psi constant which is what my WG spring is set at.
- I changed the T67HO turbo for a brand new 6766 billet same thing - NO BOOST
- took of the Vacuum hose from the waste gate - NO BOOST
- I eliminated the BOV for a second and used a straight pipe - still NO BOOST
- I checked the FULLRACE ramhorn manifold for cracks it looks great

I don't know what else I can do to fix this problem I have a massive boost loss that I cant get my hands on. Any ideas would be highly appreciated guys to help me sole this problem.I will change the stock GSR mani today for a Victor X as well since we had that already in mind to change it any ways.

Looking forward to some help

thank you

is the turbo spinning? sounds like a massive exhaust leak pre turbo or massive boost leak. can you hear the turbo spooling just not building manifold pressure? are you sure the map sensor is working?

Yes the turbo spins great and fast , you can even hear it whining when driving as when it is starting to build boost. I changed the map sensor as well I forgot to mention that I had 4 bar omni power I changed for 4 bar hondata. I changed the ECU as well. I tried the NEPTUNE RTP from the car in another car and it worked fine for me. When I log it with my switch on the ON POSITION , and put pressure it reads the 10 psi from teh gate like I mentioned above.

Do you mean that your map sensor never records any manifold pressure above 0psi, atm? Do you hear the turbo spool up? It has to be either a leak before the turbine, after the compressor, or a restriction in the intake. Are you sure the wastegate is not leaking exhaust? Ive seen people forget the fire ring and the wastegate is constantly dumping exhaust. Feel for exhaust out of the dump at idle.

No map sensor does not record at all , above 0 psi. It spools up, I tried a brand new 6766 yesterday as well. I took off the waste gate vacuum line from the turbo as well no boost at all. i checked the turbo mani for cracked collector, runners any thing everything looks fine. And like I said car was boosting 10 psi fine for months , and then suddenly stopped boosting 2-3 weeks ago till the day of today .

i felt dump tube for exhaust dumping and it is fine. that 's why I started by removing the BOV as well to elimante pressure dumping. I don't have other TIAL gate .. I have a brand new Precision 46mm not sure if they use same vband flange as the 44mm from Tial.

I even tried 2 stepping the car in my garage , retarding the timing 30 degree, enrich the fuel with 130 in Neptune software I hear the turbo spool , and in the data logging it wont past 0 to go into the boost columns from the map .. while before when 2 stepping it gave me full wg spring rate which is 10 psi .

Do you feel that there is no boost, or is your gauge just not reading it?

gauge not reading, datalogging not reading I dont feel boost at alll , seems like I have a massive boost leak but when I put pressure on it like I said in teh beginning it holds the 10 psi from the gate and you hear di gate open up when it hit 10 psi. when I do this I can see it n the gauge and my datalogging going on atthat moment. and I dont feel boost at all.. it runs just like a NA car.. I really dont what else to look for to solve this matter.. i am totally out of ideas

It sounds like a bad map sensor but you said you tried a different map? Can take it off the intake manifold and with a hose connected to it compress air into it and see if Neptune registers boost.

Have you checked your vacuum lines? Not sure if you said anything about it, but i didn't see anything mentioning it.

ok will do the map sensor test and see if it reads the pressure in the Neptune datalogging. But I tried 2 different map sensors already, 2 different turbos, eliminated the bov for a while. Only thing I still need to change and try a different one is the GSR intake plus the Waste gate.

And you're confirmed there is a fire ring IN the wastegate?
