No, it won't have the best spool characteristics, but it should have strong top end power. There are lots of people on this board that run turbos considerably bigger then this one with no problem. That is actually the size i am most likely going with on my 94.

 

Im running that exact turbo right now on my ls motor and its doesnt fully spool till about 4grand rpm's but thats when all hell breaks loose

I got the exact same turbo your looking at for my GSR. I plotted our motor on a compressor map for this turbo and it is perfect!!

If your looking for good all around street driver turbo this should be great!!

 

my brother ran one of those on his turbo ls, full spool around 4500 and that was with missing exhaust manifold nuts = exhaust leak.

2 psi @ ~3300
6 psi @ ~3800
10 psi @ ~4100

very nice turbo, you wont be dissapointed.

 

what size downpipe do you think i should get with that turbo i was thinkin 3in downpipe from maxrev

 

I am running the that same turbo size.. It spools about 2500... I ran a 13.9 with 6 psi...At 106 MPH.. I 've be ruuning any were to 10 - 12 psi and it's crazy.... So I should be low 13's or high 12's...

Im sorry but that does not sound correct to me. 2500 spool?

 

I think he just means that it starts to spool at 2500. That sounds about right (maybe a little bit too low though) if you go by what tegasaurus said that he gets 2 psi at 3300.
