Default Which is better for Torque?

Supercharged JDM B16 with headwork (10.4:1 @ 8-9psi) or an 11.5:1 B20VTEC, same PR3 head? I need around town torque and meaty autocrossing power. To be fair, I am posting this in the All-Motor Forum as well to get a nice round opinion.

Go with the all motor B20, you'll run into less heating issues and you'll have better throttle response.

The SCs are great for torque but they give you a mushy pedal feel. The high comp NA will be much more responsive.

I appreciate the input. Throttle response is big with me, I like to feel every little detail of the car at any and every given moment. Heat is a good issue to bring up too. Even though I live in Alaska, a car can still overheat during the 23 hour light days @ 75-80 degrees. I like my halfa-radiator too. even if it does have 4 cores.lol

My JRSC setup was very torquey(ls-V)

I had water injection and 440's on uber, and i beat the **** out of it for a long while, pulled the bitch running.

If u dont have LSD, dont bother with the SC setup, b/c if the wheel aint straight, its laying it down.

I'd go with the JRSC. Since you are using a B16 head you can use the Type R charger. That version uses the M-62 charger as apposed to the D16 and LS versions that use the M-45.

Throttle response with a JRSC is amazing. There's no lag to deal with and it doesn't matter what gear you are in. You'll build boost almost instantaneously.

b20 vtec ~10:1 compression with GT28RS turbo. FTW.

Check out the dyno. With a B20 the TQ (spool) will come on even faster.

Supercharger = heat soak.
