Best transmission for boost
This is sparked by another thread..
My questions is, what transmissions have the best advantage for boost?
the b16/del sol vtec/type r have the shortest gear ratios wich is usually the best for NA but wouldnt you get massive wheelspin with boost?
is the LS tranny's gearing too far apart? will you drop out of boost after a shift?
Im still debating on what engine to use too, so all advice is welcomed.

this is why im asking
ive dont know first hand experience with an ls tranny
if my turbo dosent fully spool till 4300 and when i shift if it drops to 4000
then i would be out of boost
correct?

no. as long as you dont let off the gas then you are still "in" boost.
Once you let off the gas, and the BOV opens, any boost you have built up
will be gone and you will have to start over, and yes at that low of an rpm
it will take longer to build back up.

Boost isnt like vtec. You only drop out of boost if you let off the gas.

You can always adjust gearing by going with a taller or shorter wheel/tire.
