3. JE
my spec is:
B20 84mm stock sleeve
eagle H beam rod
Golden eagle guard
p30 head
pw0 cams
JG cam sprocket
JDM pw0 dual valve spring INT & EXH
H22 345cc injectors
DIY ITB's (4agz TB's)

To be honest you really can't go wrong with any of those manuf. That is the truth, I have used both JE and CP pistons with great results. Wiseco offers a good piston as well and is used my quite a few engine builders. I believe people will agree with me. It's user preference as well as which manuf. offers what compression ratio and bore as stock shelf.
CP has a piston that will work perfect for you, part#7117 which will drop into a 84mm bore no problem, or if you have a 84.5 you can use part#7118.
I would like to try Wiseco in the future, I like the fact they coat the skirt of the pistons, and they yielded pretty good results from a test that Jeff@Importbuildsers did, but who is to say that test was accurate. None the less, I'd give them a shot. They have a piston made for a b20 with a p30 head.

thanks for your usefull replay.
what is the max shot you think i can go with my setup?
i am going to use direct port four fogger.

That's a pretty broad question. It all comes down to your fuel system and just the way your car is setup. Probably need to upgade your pump and a few other things to really push those higher shots. The most I have ran is a 75 shot.
You can destroy any piston with a shitty tune or an unusual/unforseen issue. You can also make 600whp on any of those w/o issues. I've seen that CP are the most 'perfect' piston (tolerances), but also that they burn their valve releifs if you get oil in the chamber. JE/Wiseco/Arias all seem to have their good & bad stories, but it usually comes down to the fact they are just forged aluminum alloy, which isn't a wonder metal. If I ever have a motor problem, I'd rather the pistons go before the valves, sleeves, bearings, timing belts/gears - so I don't want a wonder metal in there.
I have had experience, either in my own engine or cars I have tuned, with JE, Wiseco, ENDYN, CP, SRP and Ross. All of the pistons withstanded a good amount of abuse. I run CP's in my current engine

Love mine went with Arais after my Valve Reliefs took a shat on me w/ my CP's..... But with all respect when these pistons are failing 9 times out of 10 it isnt the piston that go bad it was some sort of detonation that causes the damage....

I have for the last 3 years. Great piston for the price.

did I say the shininest of it makes it great quality? it was simply mocking people like you. they are all the same materials just different styles. and I noticed a lot of people here love CP, so I figured it was because they are shiney
I used JE in my first build. they were in a package deal
wiseco in my second build. they were cheapest at the time
and Cp in my current. they were on sale
all them went through a lot and never broke
in actuality the best company out there is ARIAS, my next project will have them

they're probably not the best, but i like the Mahle pistons. and good for a budget. i was running 11.7 in a b16 on a 125 shot. made 281/220 to the wheels. they're quiet, all sets i have seen are incrediblt close tolerences when manu'd. they're under 400 with rings

i did in my first b16, i think they should have held up a little better than they did, but it was fun learning. they are a great price as an entry level forged piston also.
my current b16 has JE in it.
my gsr that i am in the process of building right now will be getting CP's. the last 2 engines that i have built for friends have been abused and standing up well on the CP's.
as stated above, all are good. it is all in the tune up.
p.s. i dont know the truth behind this, but was told by my supplier that once a piston is made with a tool from CP, a new tool is used for each new piston, so with that i can see how a shinny piston could be said. he hee.
