Default best piston/rod combo for b18b

my friend is looking to spend about 700-800, would he be able to run 15-17psi on a b18b? he is currently running 10psi on the stock internals.

what supporting fuel/ignition mods would you suggest, he has stock injectors/fmu/fuel pump/safc

he wants to run about 15-17 psi, what can we do to get him there...

JE or Wiseco pistons and Eagle rods are a good combo for that price range.

Go with Wiseco's and eagle rods. Dont run a blockguard, they are a waste of money. I had nothing but overheating problem with mine after it was installed, and went through the trouble to make sure it was installed properly.

would he be able to tune it good enough with a SAFC? or does he need to go with hondata?

The vafc will not be able to handle high psi levels. Its nice for anything under 10psi, but personally after using hondata i wouldnt even use it. Go with hondata, and dont look back.
