Best intake manifold for boosted GSR...
I was wondering what others are running successfully on this motor boosted...I'm thinking about the Skunk2 IM.
What is the best for my application? What are you guys running and have had success with?
I'm running a T3 super 60 present....will upgrade to t3/t04e after rebuild/sleeve block/fuel/ems...

i hear the skunk 2 is good for mid-range power mainly on setups under 300whp but the victor-x adds huge power top-end power on highly built motors and a nice amount up high on setups aorund 300whp....im running the stock one right now but got a skunk 2 off a friend for cheap

Re: (yehiknowrite)
I agree...the victor x really performs at the 6k-10k powerband...for a highly built motor aiming for 350whp and up....I would agree with going with that IM....the price is not much of a comparison at all compared to the skunk..a local speed shop actually has one for a b16 for less than the skunk2....
I would guess it all concludes to what application one is looking to go with...

I was in the same boat, but heard from a reliable source that the skunk2 runners don't match the inlet ports well (especially on the gsr), so I went with the victor x. If I were to do it again, it would be the victor x or rev hard manifold for a turbo car. I'd get one of those two if you are planing on running a bigger turbo later on. BTW, I have a skunk2 intake mani (that's what I had on it before) if anyone is interested. If you are in SoCal you can come check it out. PM me.

Never heard this one before, Im sure skunk2 designed the inlet, where it meets the port nicely. Unless they half *** on it.
I am actually leaning towards the skunk2 myself. Something for 300whp.

Hmm, didn't know that full-race made an im. I woulda prolly gave that a try.
Oh, and I heard that (the runners on the skunk2 mani being not so optimized) from about a couple of different tuners here in SoCal, and one other reputable person here on h-t (though I can't remember exactly who, but it was someone that I remember being quite trustworthy).

Re: Best intake manifold for boosted GSR... (vtecteg00)
I bought the Victor X and it seems to be what everyone else is using. I have everything else Full-Race on my car, but that IM from them just didn't seem worth $900 to me. The Victor X is what everyone in my power range (650-750hp) seems to be running.

I am a liar, I remember who it was that told me that it was either Wadzii, or BlkMgk on the AEM forum it wasn't someone from h-t. Those cats know thier **** that is why I never even thought of second guessing them. I would follow either of thier advice any day.

im running a AEBS mani but for the B16 head........works really well and has plenty of vacuum ports on it to hook up all your boost stuff......
