Default best blockguard to get?

im turboing my stock GSR soon on 10 pounds, and alot of people told me i need to use a blockguard, and ive seen a bunch of different brands, golden eagle, supertech, blox, etc.

i was wondering which ones were good to get and which to stay away from.

Stock sleeves or aftermarket sleeves...there are no other options. Blockguards are just for peace of mind. Save yourself the $100 and hassle by not getting one...

For 10 psi (assuming your running an average sized turbo). You will not need a block gaurd or sleeves as you will probably not yield anymore then 350 whp.

My brother's first turbo car was a 95 GSR - that used an FMU. It made 305whp at 11psi with a 54trim, rather unsafely though. There definately wasn't an issue with the sleeves, despite the high amount of timing it had because of the FMU setup.

Go back to those people and laugh at them, unless you plan on an untuned setup. Nothing will save that kind of crap.

i have one just because it was in there when i bought it. if not, there wouldn't be one. your sleeve will crack with or without it. 10psi is fine without one.

I personally like the GE block guards. Block posting most say is better though. Stock sleeves always need help
