Default Best beginner Manifold

Like the title says I would like some opinions on a good low price manifold, I'm not looking for any insane power #'s but around 300hp.

P.S. I have a B series motor

Log type manifold would fit that description. A lot of people have had great expriences with spoolin performance manifolds.

Or something like this.

mind you this is a really bargain basement priced manifold, and i've never used one, but as long as it fits and it does it's job, that's all you need. a cast manifold should be more durable than a tubular piece, also.

another option is to look through the classifieds for a used manifold, save some $$. good luck

Agreed. Dont waste money on a kit. Take the time and learn and piece your kit together. Its not that hard to do.

I don't want to buy a kit because i also don't like the idea of going out and saying "uhh gimmie uhh one of those", you know. I want to know and pick what I have. Anybody got any suggestions on the actual turbo? Like I said i want 300hp but i want the turbo to be able to make more latter down the road. Thanks for the help

I have an other question, see I have two Integras both LS's one has a blown motor (thats the one I've been asking for) it will be my LS-T weekend show-n-go car. But my other Integra has a LS-V with ITR pistons and a GSR head my delema is that I would like them both to be boosted. So what im trying to ask is how much can I boost with the LS-V, i read in honda tuning that its safe, I just would like to hear from somebody that has done it, and what kind of turbo could i use for that car?

Its not a question of how much boost. Its a question of how much power. There is a big difference when you boost 25psi with a t25 vs 25psi with an sc61. As far as power, i think the norm is around 350whp.

Again, that still deals with power. Since your compresion is high, your tuning will have to be on pins and needles. No room for error. Buts its best if your ditch the high compression setup for something a lil lower. say 9:1

you could always sell the high comp long block and use the money to build the other engine

how high is your comp. and what do you boost @? I know white integra said it doesnt matter the PSI its the power, but i still wanna know what people have boosted safley. If I do boost it I will most likley have Jerry tune it.

inline pro cast manifolds are great manifolds for mild set-ups. I have seen them support more than 300hp also.

I am in the same boat, I have a stock gsr. Interested in the darkside, somewhere between 250 and 300. Whats a good mani and turbo to start with, nothing super fancy but decent??

What about fuel management?
