yes... with the turbo the lesser exhaust is the better exhaust.
you will make slight bit more power and it is mucho loud turboness exhaust. edit: I do agree about it being not ness. for 6 psi to do this though... unless for the sound.

Open downpipe will give you better spool times and make more peak hp, however at 6 lbs it wont make that much of a difference, and of course the open downpipe will be alot louder.. you have to pick what is best and most important to you

U mean by external wastegate... An open wastegate= no boost Your internal will hold boost just find at 6lbs. Onlky when you start to run serious boost it would be beneficial to be externally gated.

Your "only 6psi" will become like Only 10psi when you take that downpipe off! I had my boost set at 7psi and it was hitting almost 11psi as soon as I took the dp off good luck though that thing was a monster though. but I couldn't take it

What someone above said...you probably mean external wastegate. Open wastegate refers to not running a dump tube off the wastegate...which isn't bad if you don't mind dumping soot into your nice clean engine bay, and risking melting a radiator hose or something.
