? bends for a 3" dp on ss t3 inlinepro mani on b series
Just wondering if anyone knows what degree mandrel bends would I need using an ss t3 inline pro mani with exhaust point towards passenger side? I was thinking 2 90 degree bends or 1 90 and 45degree? I'll be using the 4 bolt garrett flange to vbands and clamp to dp.
Here's an example of the setup:

Maybe 2 45 degree bends? Anyone have experience with this?

Someone's got to have done this. I haven't found it in a search.

make sure you get really tight radius bends or you wont clear the radiator... especially if you have a pwr or thicker radiator. was going to do the same thing in my car (eg w/b18c, inline mani, sc61, pwr radiator)... i had some jc whittney 3" bends but they were just too big to fit by the radiator so i had to shave the block and mount the turbo the normal way.

Thanx man, I was eyeballing that first bend off the exhaust flange in the pic and how close that thin stock radiator is, but in the pic it looks like 2.5" piping. I have a da, last time I looked it may have a little more room to work with in this configuration. Although I am running a Koyo civic radiator with the place racing x-member. You think about 3" radius 90 degree bend? What degree for the bend going under the block?

perhaps the 90 is what your looking for..
or a 45 at worst

As a matter of fact I'll be getting them from you. What's the tightest radius I can get for 3" ss 90 degree mandrel? I have your 3" ss mandrel piping for my 93 da integra waiting for vband couplers to be tig welded on. When I recieved it I lined it up next to factory and matched up pretty good. Good quality kteller at an affordable price, thanx.

just eyeballin from the pics id say one 180 degree U- bend would do. cut it in half so u get two 90 degree J's . one goin from the turbo flange with the staight portion pointing to the ground and the other 90 bend connect to the end with the straight pointing towards the cat. not sure if that sounds clear but thats thats pretty much it

the tightest 3" bend you are going to find is a 90 degree with a 3"clr.from there, you can use a u-bend with a 4" clr

The ABSOLUTE tightest radius bends you can get are doughnuts. Do a search and you will see a picture. The nice thing is that a doughnut can be cut and mixed with straight pieces to make ANY angle you want. You have 360 degrees to work with - you can make 4 90s, 8 45s, etc etc.
They aren't cheap, but when you compare them to the price of 2-4 individual bends, they are cheap. And you won't find any bends with tighter radiuses period.

Thanx again ht brothers, I do recall seeing those donuts. I'll post what bends I used so everyone with this setup won't have to guess anymore.

the only problem i have with donuts is that the only ones i have seen aren't exactly round.makes fitting the pipe pretty crappy.
