From the looks of the housings I would bet that it's a DSM T25, which is non-ball bearing.

The funny thing is, it looks exactly like a DSM T25 but the tag says it's for an SR. The SR uses a different flange which is square like a T3 but just a little smaller, not round like the DSM.

Weird man.

I bet if you took a better pic of the center section, someone will be able to let you know for sure.

That is one confusing looking turbocharger. I think it is mis-labled. Part # sr20det???? That's the number of the 2 litre twin cammed turbocharged Nissan engine from the Silvia. Remove that tag, and it's a DSM T-28 non ballbearing. The Nissan (Garrett) turbo has different turbine inlet and discharge flanges and the compressor does not have that 90 deg bend, just a 3-bolt flange. Was this turbo rebuilt and bought thru ebay? I do not think it's BB.

cosmetically it looks like a DSM t25 from a 2nd gen. Seems like the oil drain is upside down so maybe it has been rebuilt with a BB center section and a t3 wheel making it a BB t28...but i doubt it.

...and the label looks like some cheesy SSAC style ****. perfect for ebay

So this is not the ball-bearing turbo from the S15 Silvia?

No a JDM Silvia turbo would have a JDM (Garrett) T25 flange.
