Default Basics of a nitrous kit

I am looking at nitrous kits online and see that the basic components of a dry kit are:
Bottle/Fitting
Nitrous Solenoid
Stainless Lines
Arming Switch

I have hondata, so fuel and ignition are pretty much taken care of.
I am missing anything here? My goal is to maybe shoot a 50 shot for that extra something in my setup, and not to spend alot of money on the actual kit.
Would you suggest I try to fab. up my own kit, or just spend the money on a used kit (with parts which I probably wont need)?
Thanks

Buying a used kit isn't really worth it because you don't know what the noids have been through. You'd have to replace the coil and seal to make sure that they were in good shape and that is at least $80 right there. I'd just by an NX wet kit and genx upgrade package and call it a day. Let Hondata control your ignition timing while spraying and leave the fuel up to the nitrous kit.
You're going to need a purge kit and bottle heater to put down any decent times.

I don't really want a wet kit because I don't trust them at all. I don't want to get into the whole spraying fuel into the intake deal or anythign like that, but do you think I could just buy the solenoid, bottle, lines, and switch from somewhere and make it myself.
The bottle heater is taken care of, and the bottle is only going to be below 5lbs.

i would go with a nx wet kit, they are safer and more reliable than a dry kit. never had any problems with mine and i have a 50 shot and i love it.

up, i have so many questions, and archives arn't helping.

would a NOS powershot solenoid be fine for a 50shot? or should i stick with the cheater solenoid?

Does anybody have any experience with hondata and nitrous? (this has been partially covered but want to check again)

no, no boost, i'm actually going all motor and want a little extra. I want to stay away from a wet kit because it would complicate tuning alot.

direct port is too much in this category: $$$

just get a univeral wet ket. they have jets to change the hp u want 35, 50 and 75. they arent hard to tune either. with the combination of a fuel line and nitrous line spraying in unison prevents running a lean mixture, thus causing the big bang effect.nitrous express makes more accurate hp than nos.

if you can find a used one on ht, go here and youll get a fairly good price on a brand new kit.

Wet kits are not complicated to tune, but if you are hellbent on a dry kit...that's that.
NOS fogger nozzles are for wet kits only. NOS powershot noids are not very reliable. Go with NX noids or NOS cheater noids.

as unforgiving as n2o can be i would never run a dry kit,

direct port - equal and even distribution of fuel and nitrous, and tuning is simple

i hope you have a decent fuel pump

plus NOS makes jets as small as .018" so you can have a small shot direct port

bottle heater and purge valve are 'muy neccesito,ok?'

just remeber cheap cut-corner setups go boom, you get what you pay for

I'm not putting a wet kit on my car because right now it's not convient for one to go on there right now

Hondata could enrich fuel injectors and control the solenoid at varios speeds and throttle, so the "management" part of the setup is done.

The direct port kits you described are out of the question because the amount of money I would have to put it into a setup like that would outweigh the amount of useage and HP per dollar that I am shooting for. The dry kit with a small shot would be perfect because i'm not going to use it much at all and there is a smaller chance of going "kaboom" since it's a small shot.

I'll look into the fuel pump, i have injectors, he also now has
-Bottle w/ fitting
-NOS cheater solenoid
-Hondata
so would basically all I need to finish off a dry setup be
-nozzle/jet
-stainless lines
-pressure gauge

Do you see any other major things missing from that list? (besides heater/purge valve)

What relay do you recomend (amperage etc). Any Radioshack special will work? or should I stick to one of the more expensive NOS relays?
