Default is this a bad idea?

i'm getting a drag turbo kit for my car and was thinking about painting the pipes and intercooler black. would this hinder performance or flow on the intercooler? i was gonna use engine enamel(i think that's what it's called) has anyone done this? if so please post pics. thanks

Ya, it probably will reduce the intercoolers ability to conduct heat into the air... and the piping also.

It will" NOT" afect your performance at all. DON'T use oily paint and don't use alot of it on the IC. If you do this I recomend flat black

go light on the core of the intercooler itself, it you coat it to thick, it will hold the heat in a bit more.
