so i have this shitty shell station in town and i filled up full of "premium" i watched them pump it is their any chance the pump ****ed up or anything??

the wideband is a aem and both o2's are brand new

i was running my fine 14.7-15.2 a/f but all of the sudden after the fill up iv dropped down too pig rich my wideband drops too 10.0rich at an idle and will be from a 12.0 too a 10.0 while driving is it possible it got filled with 87oct??? would this cause it too run like ****?

and should i go buy octane booster?? im concerned and about too go drain my gas any help is thanks

Pig rich? lol...anyhow Higher octane in and of itself doesnt affect A/Fratio(gasoline). It simply allows for a more agressive tune without detonation. It just not going to make a difference at idle. So maybe its just coincidence that the issues happened after you filled up, but it shouldnt be octane related.

What management are you tuned on? setup?

i guess it could be possible there is alot of water in the gas tho. i wouldnt rule it out but octane itself isnt going to make a difference. The gas being bad, thats another scenario so i would say it could be possible.

octane rating wont affect your air fuel ratio, sounds like your sensor just to happened to take a **** at that time, sometimes coincidences can be weird like that.

Even though the sensor has been recently replaced, it is possible it is damaged.

what o2 sensors you guys run excatly becouse i go threw em about once every month i run the wideband and a secondary the aem one has never failed but the secondary goes out like candy

The majority of wide-band A/F devices use the Bosch LSU4.2 with one of two connectors. The sensors themselves are the same however. The exception would be the old FJO units a few others that use an NTK sensor. If the sensor body gets splashed with liquid fuel or condensation it could crack the ceramic in the sensor. It would not matter how new or old the sensor was if this occurred, it would be damaged. Lead will also accelerate sensor wear.

getting a autozone bosch one so everytime it goes out i can bring it back for a new one lol

I'm having a similar issue with mine. Afr are great when it is warm 80*F outside. As soon as it gets cold 60*below it runs 10-12s at idle and low cruise as described. It smokes a little bit from the extra fuel. The temp correction in s300 is only like 2% so I wouldn't think it would make it change that much. Any temperature change where your at?

its been freezing here...but i think the denso o2 sensors were not enjoying the cold weather went threw 2 and the voltage was all wrong both went bad within 2 weeks i switched too a bosch today...perfect voltage and its running fine..the design of the bosch i believe is more protective against the weather and carbon build up
