cause it's a v band on the other end, at the turbo as well. I want there to be a point of movement so it doesn't crack if the turbo or motor moves. I'll never do 2 v bands w/o anything in the middle, not even on a chassis car, things flex and thin alum. won't take too much flexing before it fatigues and cracks. The strap really isn't even necessary on this one since it's got a v band on each end, but i did it anyways, cheap ins. Only takes a couple min. to do.

Z10 Engineering, they're around $75 for 1 complete unit which is the clamp, both halves and an oring.
