Default b20vtec turbo... how can i make vtec hit harder?

now the vtec works the vafc shows that it engages. we had lots of problems before this and during the turbo install. what id like to know is their any type of way to increase oil pressure make vtec hit harder. i was thinking maybe a screw on the oil pump or somewhere else?? need answer !! please help!

did you let the car warm up???? if you did your theory about not enough oil pressure is probably correct.

You can try getting a sandwich adapter such as the Golden Eagle one and have that feed to your turbo. If you're already using one of those then go for the teeing of the oil pressure sensor. This is how I have my turbo ls/vtec setup, one from each source.

Try goin to http://www.tunertoys.com they have fittings for the back of the block that allow for equal distribution of oil to vtec and to the turbo. You can pick one up for around 20 bucks i believe.

we put the tee from the turbo line to by the head so all the oil goes thought the vtec line and it blew out the hose from the fittin. we fixed that, the vtec kicks in now. but the car was faster allmotor though

I dunno if you guys know this. But B20's come factory with the same oil pump used in the ITR B18c5. I'm sure it puts out plenty of oil pressure and your problem may be somewhere else. Good Luck

you can try to shim the oil pump pressure relief spring inside the oil pump to give you some extra oil pressure. 10-15psi should do the trick.........
