b20v tapping noise?
So here goes, Stay with me please
Found out my head is good (Fully built gsr .5mm over ti-ret & dvs) one of the cam caps were wrong...none the less the head is stil good...I posted before about the LMA's as being a part of the tapping problem to complicate things the new throw out bearing from the $100 ebay clutch sound horrible....So my question was whether or not the block is any good...I took the oil filter off and had a machinist say that if I showed him what he saw he would say everything looks normal...Also I had 225 across the board...What I did tell him originally this block did not want to wake up in saying that I mean one cylinder did not come alive after I did the swap...funny thing is I blew my b16 on the same cylinder that did not want to come alive, after doing the swap I went through my harness and butted and taped off everywhere and it has worked fine so the machinist says maybe one of the pistons collapsed a bit and I may always have that rattle but with those compression results and what he saw when he cut the oil filter open he says he would run the car as is...My worry is rod knock...I think its wise to fix the throw out bearing and put it back together before I buy another block which is what a friend of mine keeps instructing me to do
