B20B turbo
have heard a lot of bad things about the B20 having any kind of boost, now I plan to buy a complete hange over to a B20(8.8)/ GSR tranny/ T03/T04e 10-11lbs. of boost into my 1998 Civic CX. I hear some people say it will expletive up and blow the motor, even some people say a B16 would be a better set up. Now I want 325+ whp and call it a day, but I just don't want to break the bank and get a GSR motor.
completely stock b20 trying to make 300hp is not a good idea, those motors are not strong for boost stock, and sleeves are very weak
i know of alot of other stock b series motors making 300 +, and with piston/rods w/stock sleeves can make 300 all day long with a good tune
GOOD TUNE is the most important part

You will be fine at 300-325 hp with legitimate tuning. Yes the sleeves may be weak but they will hold that power as long as timing and fuel is dialed in properly.
I am running a b20 with a b16 head. Ill be putting in a eagle crank, eagle h beam rods, with Arias 9.0:1 pistons. Ill be running a Garett GT35R turbo. How much hp can i make safely on stock sleeves? Is a block guard a good idea instead of sleeving?
