b20 vtec turbo... what head?
i have my block all set up........
b20b honed
84mm bore ross pistons 8.5:1 cr
eagle h-beam rods 5.394
arp bolts for mains and connecting rods
atc bearings
block gaurd
b20 crank
block girdle
type-r oil pump
type-r water pump
moroso oil pan
eagle vtec conversion kit
now i am thinking or geting a b16a1 head port and polished and doing type-r cams and a valve train kit.
is the b16 head a good idea?
after that im going to need to know what tranny i should use for this set up.
im only going to run like 5-6 lbs. of boost. and maybe 25 shot of nitrious that should be fine for the stock sleeves. lemme know what you think.

Man oh man, you should have sleeved it! The bug will bite you to turn the boost up, trust me! But either way, B16 or B18C head will be good

gsr head is what i run on my b20 , flows great but i have heard that b16a heads flow better. stock b20 sleeves hold up good on moderate boost levels mine held 12lbs for a while before i burned a hole in piston #4. if only 6 lbs should be ok but i would suggest sleeveing the block if you even think about turning it up! my stock b20 #s 312whp 300trq @12lbs with wack *** vafc hack. check my sig thats on a built block.

no offense... i mean your set up will work fine... but for less money you could have gotten a stock b18b and boosted it and probably make more power then you will with your b20vtec on 6 psi... but good luck with it... and i think a gsr head will work great with that set up... but like someone else said you shoud have sleeved that block.

the difference in hp that the stock head will make will not effect what your doing with it
gsr heads higher comp
b16a flow better
itr head is the same casting as a b16a
your gonna fine with anyone of these

A b20 on 6psi will be ******* weak for a turbo b-series motor. Oh and you don't need to sleeve the block to run 15psi. That would be a complete waste of money.

do you know what your talking about i had a b18b 6psi and i did run fine but the set up i have now is alot better. b20 vtec tuned will give me like 200-220hp. turboing it will give it at least 80-110hp. you do the math.
by the way i got the b16a1 head port and polished with 3 angle valve job and type-r cams thanks.

I do know what I am talking about. With those low compression 8.5:1 pistons, your B20/Vtec tuned won't put down close to 200-220hp... maybe if you had high compression pistons it would. I am also guessing you won't gain 80-110hp with only 5-6psi, it's probably going to take more boost than that.
