b20 and boost questions...
im getting ready to throw in a b20 in my integra with a vortech charger on it. the question is...which head will flow better a LS or B20 or are they the same? thanks
well i suppose i dont have to get one, but i was gonna get one for pretty cheap from a friend. whats wrong with a vortech charger? care to explain?
depends on your goals, if you want lots of room for upgrade turbo is better but if you are happy with the power that a votech charger provides and you are getting a good deal I would say go for it.

How cheap is pretty cheap? Whats wrong with vortechs and other centrifugals is they make boost with RPM's. So while a turbo will have full boost at say 4000 RPM's, a vortech will only be making a fraction of that boost. People say "If you don't have enough boost, just downshift" but that doesn't change the fact that turbos make a lot more midrange and lowend, so you'll have a faster car all around.

From what I've heard the heads are the same, but they have different cams- the LS being the better choice for boost... not sure about the intake mainfold though, but I would think a Skunk 2 / GSR TB would be better combo than LS stuff... good luck w/ your B20

they are only thinner where the sleves meet. everywhere else they are thicker. that's why you can't use a b18 blockguard on a b20

what do the sleeves have to do with anything. The mans question was about what head is better and u all changed to "vortec sucks" and "sleeves." I prefer turbos too, but thats not the point, What Head Is Better.
