Respect him for what? He's giving somebody asking a legit question bad info. I may be an ******* and not as technical as others when I post, but at least I am posting the truth. I get sick of posting in these threads, but if I can stop one person from spending the money building up there B20 which ends up cracking a sleeve, I guess it's worth it. If they were good at all I would build one myself. Go ask a real tuner or engine builder what they think and I'm sure they can give you the technical nice answer as to why B20's are poop.

b20's in stock form are poop. Yes a stock gsr block will hold boost much more than the b20 block but you pay for what you get. Once its sleeved, and all work is done to the block it is just as capable as a gsr block If that extra bore was not a good thing why do people bore the gsr out .
bbka its the same question why do you run d turbo when b is more capable .

I'm not talking about an aftermarket sleeved motor, in that case of course it won't matter what you go with. I'm talking about a stock sleeved B20, and it looks like we all agree they suck. The extra bore is a good thing, I never said it wasn't. You B20 guys need to stop trying to defend your motors because you can't win this argument lol.

Me running a D-series when I know a B-series is capable has nothing to do with any of this and it's not the same thing. The motor came in my car and I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so that's my reason for turboing a D-series. This guy wants to build a motor and wants to know what to go with, he has 2 options (b18 or b20). Bad idea with a stock sleeved B20, good idea with a stock sleeved B18, sleeved it don't matter. B20's come in CRV's, so anybody that puts one in a civic is wasting their money in my opinion, becauise your very limited on what you can do and how much power you can make.

Okay, I started this thread with a simple question. Thank you to those that have answered. The people on here that have ran their mouths without any knowledge are annoying me. I just want to get my car back on the road, and won't mind it being fast in the process. The B18 had melted the factory pistons after blowing the ringlands out. I would have to get it over-bored anyhow, WHICH, OMG will make the sleeves thinner!

BBKA can go outside and play hide and go expletive himself as far as I am concerned. I have read a lot of his posts and hardly ever think he knows what he is talking about.

I think I will build my B20 VTEC turbo engine and tune it. I'm sure I can beat 230WHP and get into the 12's just fine.

I responded to your original post with a simple answer and let you know exactly what you should do (B18 bored to 81.5mm). I didn't call you a noob, I didn't flame you, I told you the truth. I'm looking out for you man because this is the best way with the options you have.

Actually I know exactly what I am talking about and I can backup everything I say with proof. If anybody wants to call me out and say I am wrong and can back it up with proof then do it, until then all you retards need to keep your mouth shut. Every time I post about this topic the only people that argue with me a people with B20's that get offended. You don't see any real tuners or engine builders calling me out. I can find posts/info from very experianced well known tuners and engine builders in the honda community that think the same thing I do about the B20 sleeves. But hey it's your car buddy and you can do what ya want, so good luck lol.

MAN I'LL CHIME IN HERE AND PUT IT LIKE THIS...........

I GOTTA STOCK B20 TURBO'D W/A T3 AT 6LBS UNTUNED AND THIS **** PULLS LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN. I WILL ADMIT THO, A B18 IS PROBABLY BETTER DUE TO THE SLEEVE THICKNESS BUT ANY HONDA MOTOR, BOOSTED AND ABUSED WILL CAUSE BLOCK DAMAGE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A B20 BLOCK DESTROYED FROM BOOSTING AND I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR AWHILE. AS LONG AND YOUR GOALS ARE MODERATE, A B20 IMO IS LIKE ANY OTHER HONDA MOTOR. IT WILL HANDLE BOOST PRETTY WELL..I CAN SAY THIS WITH CONFIDENCE AND SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE.

beerbong you should just end you life now, cause you just **** every one off..... if the FUCKEN setup works for them then it works, i see nothing wrong with johnny-dc2 comment, if you want to talk about ASE certified mech's and someone thats gone through many motors to rebuild or to just to fully build, then I have.... theyre are many setups out there and yours might be fine for you but dont act like your setup is the best cause id be willing to race your *** to shut you up............... so just shut the f#ck up

i say go b18, just cause n/a u can get over 200 whp with a lsvtech conversion, have you thought about the crank, rods ur gonna run with the b20 so ur not playing paddy cake with the head? might as well save some cash build a motor for spray and use the better of the two blocks, seems alot more efficient then doing all the peiceing together of the b20 vs the b18, also i dont see why you wouldnt be able to resleeve it for maybe a few hundred bucks, nothing wrong in waiting a bit to build it right the first time

::eric cartman voice:: na na na na na naaa na im better at everything that you... na na na na naaaa na...

lol, but yeah I'm not talking about my setup and I never said mine was the best. "johnny-dc2's" comments are just bad info from somebody that doesn't know what he is talking about. I'm pointing that out incase some noob see's it and also letting johhny know as well. It would be nice if this forum had nothing but factual info, but there are too many people that just post up there "opinions" because they like this or that, which is fine, but in some cases like this it's just bs. I realize I am an ******* when I post, but you have to admit it's a little entertaining. I have tried to tone it down lately, but sometimes I can't help it I have said MANY times that if I ever give out incorrect info for somebody to correct me.

hey beerbong is that pic of you??

anyway b20 turbo is fine. too all the fools that say that they seen cracked sleeves and all other horror stories are either lying, fool of ****, hear say, or the blocks were abused and cracked due to high boost and bad fuel setup (just like a LS would)

beerbong gets so upset when peeps talk about b20's going turbo when there are so many successful b20 turbo setups. chill out fool, or get some ***** or something.. you run your mouth allot but if it was face to face w/half the dudes on here, i bet you wouldnt have **** to say playa...

No I get pissed when people like you that don't have a clue what they are talking about try to give advice. Everything you just said was completely false. It has been covered many times why B20 sleeves are garbage (shitty design makes them weak), but stupid people like you just don't seem to understand.

Oh and that's a picture of Farva from Super Troopers you retard.

I guess my b20 is special...??? B20 sleaved at just as good as a ls motor.. made of even a stonger metal... just uses a solid 1 peice sleave vs a b18 that uses 4 stock sleaves...

Dont hate.. people install cp pistons on stock everything and make over 400 whp and they live..

BEERBONG... have you ever broke a b20 turbo?.. have you even built one. have you ever had any motor that lasted.. becuase it sounds like your a heard headed dick that try's the old "ONE UP'ER" get over it.. I proved it and many other have proven it.. b20's can boost.. just need a tuner.. like BUBBA. DO IT DYNO SIGNAL HILL ,CA. 562-424 6162.

You couldn't be more wrong lol. The one piece design makes them very weak.

All the info you need are in this threads here, but you can find more if you search...

Sure they are going to handle a little boost with good tuning, but swapping one in or building one is a waste of time and money when your limited on the power you can safely make. 250whp isn't really that much power in my opinion.
