B18C1 Hatch turbo selection
In a 93 Hatch b18c1 as a DD street car what turbo size would be best?
Stock b18c1, no more than $5.5k for entire turbo setup, daily driven car, i was hoping you guys could give me that information on what rpm to boost, im in the works of acquiring a b18c1 from HMO or IAS, was unsure when id like to spool since ive never driven a b18c1. I had a h22a in a 98 lude before this hatch.
Stock b81c1 for now, unless i can get away with having the motor built for under $2k in TX.

you need to add more info if you want a response, well an educated one at least.

>any plans to build engine?

>budget?

Re: B18C1 Hatch turbo selection (HybridcivicLS-T)
I just moved from Ausitin up here to Granbury. I talked to tony via pm and he said T1 does engine builds, im gunna see how much itll cost to get the engine boost ready, is your b18c1 stock making 333hsp? If so i dont even need to build the engine, 330 horses would be plently for what I want, i might have to copy your setup man. It looks sick, your engine bay is sparkly clean also. Ill be ordering the b18c1 from HMO or IAS in a few months, after that will have to save a few thousand for the turbo, and ill end up trailoring it up to Rowlett for T1 tune. I belive Benbrook (30mi) from here has a autocross track aswell.
PS: what are the key things to make sure are 110% for the final tune, i noticed in your thread you had trouble with the solonoid and your wires?

Re: B18C1 Hatch turbo selection (revlimitx04)
i used to live in fort worth. I have friends that live in benbrook. The trqack is actaully in cresson right outside of grandbury.
anyway, those things happen sometimes. wasn't really trouble i just didn't know until we put the car on the dyno. The good things about Tony is he's really good at diagnosing problems. Im not bad myself but i didn't have another solenoid at home to test out. To find out i was right and we just changed it out. the wirng. i assumed that i had a 12v source and never choose to check it, then found out it wasn't so i just switched it at the dyno. that was no big deal.
just have everything ready the best you can it makes the dyno session smooth and not looking for stupid problems.

Does the track outside cresson have safety requirments, ie: rollcage / harness / helmet rule or can you take a stock car out for runs? Like to do a comparrision, a before and after. And by chance do you know how much it runs to use the track?
If not ill just give them a call lol.
