b18c1 boost
how much boost and HP can i get out of a GSR motor without any prabloms. the motor right now WITHOUT turbo has 245 HP. i just got a turbo kit (450cc inj. 2.5 bar map sensor) and need to know what is the most boost i can run with. the motor has a little work done to it but stock cams i think it was bored to 2.0L. when i know how much boost i can run i will know what ECU tuner i will get.

i am keeping up with G35 and 350Z and i out ran an integra type-R with 3 ppl in my car and only him in his car. if i wasn't in iraq i would show you my dyno results. with my N/A motor i'm running 245 HP at 8,200 rpms at about 189 lbs torq i think thats what the dyno test was. i have been in iraq over a year now so i don't exactly remember what my last test was.
o i did't relize you were keeping up with 350s,if thats the case i would say you r closer to 350 whp

first off ( 450 inj and 2.5 map sensor ) does not = turbo kit and
secondly no Gsr with a 2.0 bore is making 245 hp on stock cams.
So not to be an *** you have a lot to learn. A motor can handle 5lbs on a small turbo or 20lbs on a tiny turbo making the same power. So if what you meant was HP people make 500 on stock blocks w/ some head work or 350 on a stock motor all day on 91 gas.

just to clear some thing up on my motor, short history on motor: my brother was here in iraq 2 years ago and when he got home he got the b18c1 motor i now own. he payed 3,500 on the motor and gsr trany i think one of his buddys got it from japan. then he spent another 2,800 on engine work 2.0 bore and what ever else he had done i really can't tell you guys what exactly was done to the motor i havent talked to my bro in like 1 1/2 years b/c he is stationed in germany and i am here in iraq. i got the motor 6 days befor i had to leav for iraq so i didn't have time to find much out about it. i did find a dyno graph in the car with 245 hp at i think 8200 rpms with like 189 lbs of torq (the graph may or maynot have been for his/my car i don't really know). my bro put the motor in a 95 honda civic hb with a stage 3 clutch. i bought the car from him at a really low price b/c he didn't need it in germany. i payed only 3,700 for the car. i know when he was racing it he was keeping up with stock 350s and g35s (350 and g35 may have been faster but not by much) and when i had it i outran a type-r with 3 ppl in my car. thats that.... i now have a t3/t4 turbo kit a samall intercoller (i'm going to spray nitrous into) i have a garett t3/t4 kit with the 450cc inj. and 2.5 map sensor. with the 2.0 bore i don't know what safe boost i can run. i'm not trying to BS about this i just want to know some things i really have never got into this untill now
ummm 245whp in a 1995 hatch keeping up with 350Z's and G35's.....
if you had 245whp you would be way ahead of those 14 sec cars...id put the car at more like 160-170whp...but who really knows.

well we need more info than that...from what it looks like you have about 30% of the kit if that...id do some more research before you post....ive got a stock GSR and im at 318whp@10psi with a T3/T04E 57trim... still has alot of room to go...the limmit really depends on your tunner...if you have a shitty tunner it may not even hit 300whp...who knows...

im sorry i just cant believe that... unless thats an engine dyno your talking about, and thats still damn near impossible... and ive stock 95 hatches with stock GSR engines with ihe with 3 people in the car keep up with a 350z.
anyhow, post up a full parts list of what the motor currently has, and we can better advise you. we really need to know the compression ratio.

if you really have 245whp gsr motor in a civic you should be eating 350z's and g35's. also you said your motor is a b18c1 and that your brother got it in japan. i'm kinda confused cause i thought a c1 motor is a usdm and a b18C is a jdm. hhmm
after reading everything i started doing some resurch on my car and engine and dyno graph found in car. this is what i got, i had my wife look in the car for any kind of paperwork done on the car she found an invoice with a name and number. when i called the number it was a friend of my brothers who did the work on the car. he didn't remember all the name brands of thing put in the engine but he did remember doing the work. he charged my bro $2800 on a 2.0 bore, low compression pistons, port and polished head, valves, stock cams, pulleys and stage 3 clutch and a set of tires including all labor. he said the car was set up for boost. he also said the exhaust was hollowed out from the header back. he could not remember the exact compression ratio but he said it was lower then a stock GSR. although never put on a dyno he did say the <U>MOTOR</U> should have about 195/200 HP na. i asked him about the dyno graph i found and he told me it sounded like the turboed but stock integra LS b18b that was always up their with my bro. he is the one who put the turbo on the LS at the same time he did my bros car. i then got a hold of the owner of the turboed integra LS and he said that was his dyno sheet he must have left it in my bros car.
