The B18c block is a better platform for a basic setup. The B18b block CAN be built just as strong, ie: sleeves, aftermarket crank girdle, full balancing... etc.

I'm sure some others may chime in that 500whp is near MAX output for the GT3076R depending on setup.

If 500whp consistant daily driven is your goal, I would call that unrealistic and unreliable at this point.

Aside from your few sentences. All I see is.. I want this, I want that. I want 500whp with this turbo and these couple mods I listed. What do I do?............

You need to do alot more research and have a solid PLAN in place for an engine and turbo setup, then make a post if you have specific questions. Atleast then other members or I can actually make an informative post.

If you are going to build the block and sleeve it anyways then just get a B18B block since they are cheaper than a B18C.

Oh yeah and have a longer stroke duu this why I went LS Vtec instead of GSR.

from insight that ive gotten, i would say b18b for the added torque. Dont quote me but ive been told 84mm verse 81mm GSR = est +20 ft/lbs.....84mm with LS crank you could be looking at est +60 ft/lbs vs a 81mm GSR.

^^

I went with a gsr block because my step brother did a B16 head on a b20 block and couldn't ever get it to stop leaking oil and always had little issues. Less hassle because the block is meant for the head. I am sleeving the block to 84mm and using a LS crank for added torque. I plan on shooting for 500+ by the end of the year.

Take a LS crank and put it into a sleeved GS-R block.. problem solved in both worlds.

Absolutely. I do that NOW on my other LS Crank/GS-R Block at 9000... Why wouldn't it? It'd be like any other well-balanced motor. Oh I get it, you heard about that "rod/stroke ratio" jazz. Ignore it. Plan it right, build it right, it'll be fine.

Probably leaked oil because the wrong head gasket was used. A B20 Vtec is a great setup for all motor and can put out some nice numbers and great tq. If done right that is and it is the same as any LS Vtec. You need to use the head gasket for the bloc you are running amny will use the head gasket for the head they are using and this is known to cause oil leaks from the head. I have a B18B1 block, B16 head and B18B1 head gasket and I have no leaking issues.

There wasn't a person in 200 miles of where he lived that knew anything about hondas plus he was turbo'd. Blew three motors before he sold everything.

That is what a phone and these forums are for. A 10 second search will find you all the info you need on doing a B20 or Ls Vtec right.

Just do a GSr block with LS crank, just have everything balanced and you wont have a problem.

Put the $350 towards sleeving the LS. Unless you plan on constantly revving the **** out of it, don't bother with a girdle. But if you feel the need, get a KRL or something, and you will need ARP's and machine work to make the girle work with the main caps.
