Default b18b turbo, timing questions please

just got my b18b turbo crx on the road. i am running a 10:1 FMU, stock injectors, and stock everything else, a missing link, and 5 PSI of boost... t3/t04e 57 trim.
How much ignition retard do i need to do this safely? i don't want to detonate in any way. But I want to feel ok about flooring it every once in a while. But right now, i just retarded the hell out of it, and its running laggy. So whats a safe timing retard to set per PSI for my setup at 5 to 6 PSI of boost?

Please, only speak from experience, I cant afford to lose an engine.
Thanks, Bryan...

with only 5-6 psi of boost, stock timing should be fine. i ran 9 psi on my ls when it was stock for a whole summer. just make sure your plugs are gapped accordingly and you have a sufficent amount of fuel.

ok, so is it more an issue when I have more than 6 PSI?
I am just afraid to mess anything up since this is my daily driver. But 8 - 10 PSI would be so nice. once it hits boost it feels pretty decent at only 5 PSI. so lets say i went 8 PSI.... What is a reccomended timing retard per lb of boost? I just bought a timing light, and i kinda want to use it, for the better. So running 93 Octane gas and a conservative Timing Retard should let me make some decent numbers from my setup. I just want about 250 HP

1/2 degree for every pound of boost will be fine

gereally about .5 per psi of boost, But like it was said before you don't really need to retard it until you go over about 5psi. I ran 7psi with stock timing on my b16 with no problem.

Don't get greedy now, Remember your only runing a fmu with stock injectors, i wouldn't recomend more 5psi with your set-up.

sorry, I forgot to mention that
255lph walbro pump.

It would be bad to go over 5 PSI on the stock injectors?
shouldn't I be able to go over 5 PSI with stock injectors?

I was thinking about trying 6 - 8 PSI
I just raced an EVO 8 from a 2nd gear roll, and he pulled a car on me in 2nd but once i hit 3rd i caught up right next to him and passed him by 2 cars in 4rth and another car and a half or so by the time i was in the middle of 5th.
I top out at almost 130 ish... kinda shitty, but its A GSR tranny, so better Acceleration through the gears.... I just need traction in 1st and 2nd. (sometimes 3rd) that GSR tranny helps alot with the GO.. but i wanted to see what 8 PSI could do since everyone here has at least 8 PSI, i mean, I really never heard of anyone running 4 here. i'd really like to try 6 or 8. but not if its not safe.... Im just wanting to run the boost all the other guys are running, and since i got a crx it takes less to go fast!. but that evo8 takes stock srt-4's from a 40 roll by about 2 cars. and i just beat the damn evo by 3 cars 3 times in a row.... and im on 4 PSI... Hes like what the f*** And im like,
"**** I didn't think it would pull that hard. I wonder what 8 PSI feels like?"
Whats up with that?

with stock injectors i wouldn't recomend going over 5-6psi.
Upgrade your injectors or your fuel management and you can run more. Run hondata and you can feel what 12psi is like easily.

I agree with B16aHybrid. If it were my car I wouldn't boost over 5lbs with that turbocharger on stock injectors. At least you are having fun at 5lbs man

yea, i think I might just do that and get it tuned. Seems like the smartest and safest thing to do.

Thanks
