Re: IHI turbo from Mazda 626 GT (Zygspeed)
its rhb6 ihi model its simple turbo probably sized like a small t3 its very small turbo for that car. That car came with 7.8 compression and could run around 20 pounds stock on the small turbo.

Re: IHI turbo from Mazda 626 GT (chusai)
He means you'll be turning it really damn fast to make that much boost and it will be heating your intake charge like nobody's business; a larger turbo would make that power nice and easy with less risk of detonation and less wear on the turbo bearings. Furthermore, running a larger turbine reduces restriction on the exhaust which reduces the load on your cooling system.

You would be better off with something slightly larger - if you want to do the junkyard route look for a T3 super-60 out of a Thunderbird, Merkur, or Mustang SVO... otherwise just spend some real money and get a T3/4 hybrid.
