Default b18b safe boost level

hi, i have a b18b in my ek and i want to boost it. i have all the parts and am ready to install but i am kind of worry about the .6 bar(8.7) psi with the stock internals because is a daily driver. has anyone boosted this high with stock internal on a b18b? any personal experience? i am going to do a compression test first before i install it.

this is my setup:

drag manifold
garrett t3 turbo
tial 38mm wastegate(8.7 psi)
greddy type rs bov
2.5" down pipe
vortech fmu(10:1)
walbro 255 intank fuel pump
synapse missing link
precision intercooler
2.25" intercooler piping
2.5" exhaust w/ greddy muffler and gutted cat

my homie was boosting 10, till he leaned out a cylinder, but that was due to a injector failing i believe, he got it tuned of course

Safe boost level = 0.

Look at the HUGE LS/b18b(a) thread for more real details. Honestly, any boost can do damage... its all in the part selection and most importanly... the tune... ie: ditch that FMU.

i'm thing that since the turbo is a t3 instead of a t3/t4 the 8.7 psi won't be forcing that much air as a t3/t4 with the same boost level.

you should get something to tune the car with.. hondata chrome aem ...etc... my boosted b18a1 @ 14psi ran 12.0 @116 for about 1yr then the oil pump went out cause of a damn under drive pulley. A buddy is on 16psi running 11.5-11.6 @ 119-121 and its been fine for almost 1yr now
