Good gosh, I can't believe this still gets debated! The C1 WILL MAKE MORE POWER. The LS WILL MAKE MORE TQ. This is almost always true for a given boost level on these motors. LS if your on budget, C1 if you have some flow. End of debate.

now i might be wrong but the b16 head flows better than a b18c head, not by much but it does, right?

It's all relative... IMO, more torque good for the track, more HP good for the street. Too much torque on the street = traction problems. Not to say that you won't spin tires with alot of hp and not as much torque, but you reach peak HP at higher RPMs than you do peak torque, so you have more momentum and less probability of spinning.

In reality, anything more than 260whp in a hatch, you can kiss traction goodbye.

no traction in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd...

gsr tranny with a bit of torque.
