top speed
it would depend on what motor (how much hp/tq) and where the redline of the motor is.
If you have enough power and can get to 8000rpm in 5th it would be around 160mph

Fastest I've been in a GSR hatch was 155. That's an estimate though since the stock speedometer doesn't go that high. I say 155 since 0 is directly opposite 100, the needle was directly opposite 55. I was the passenger in the vehicle, and then we got pulled over and the driver went to jail in handcuffs. It'll teach you not to race a souped up IS300 on I-75 through Atlanta at midnight the night after Hot Import Nights.
thanks i just needed to know cause there is a guy over here with a newer style trans am firebird. with a ls1 corvette motor racing for cash and i dont want to try if i have no chance.

Racing for top speed is not racing. That's what they do in England, Germany, and various other places overseas. The only real racing is from a stop... or a roll. Once you pull significantly ahead, it's over. There's no reason to see how fast you car can go. Going 160 is just dumb. From a 30/40/60 roll, you should have the guy in the bag by 120 or you probably lost.
