Default b18a

Ive got a 92 ls with about 180,000 on the motor. There is some ticking that goes on while accelerating which I believe the valves are causing, and I have a leaky headgasket which I am planning to replace. But before I do those things, should I just get another motor, which would be a b18b, or should I rebuild the motor I have and be able to boost more once I complete the turbo setup? I plan on having a fun street car. Probably going to go with the precision sc34, blox manifold, intercooler, larger injecters(450's maybe), and tuned with hondata with a walbro fuel pump. Also, this is assuming the compression test goes well across the board. I am a college student on a budget, so it will be a slow process, but I am living at home, so no rent to pay . And also, are there any turbe'd tegs, or hondas for that matter in CT, preferable in southeastern CT cause I know im gonna need some assistance when doing the build. Thanks.

Anyone have any suggestions, specifically from someone who knows what would be best in my situation? Cause I have some money to get started pretty soon, just need to know what route to go?
