i'm thinking of puttinig a b16 motor in my eg hatch with my Drag Gen 3 kit that i have. just not sure if i want to go with a b16 or not.

from reading this thread, the numbers look pretty good. i'm just looking to run 12's on drag radials with about 10lbs of boost.

wondering if you guys think the b16 motor, stock JDM b16 that is, is capable of doing it. i would put a lighten flywheel, aftermarket intake manifold, GSR TB, GSR cams, and a decent clutch.

I have a b16 with LS tranny, with my sc61 on 15psi it pulls hard in 3rd, but 1 and 2 are weak, this is something that can be fixed with a smaller turbo that provides a broader powerband.

94 Civic Hatch
B16A stock sleeves
81.5mm JE Pistons
Eagle Rods
GSR Head
Rev valvesprings/retainers
Full-race Manifold
Full-race T3/T67 H.O.
Rick-Fab 3.5" exhaust
Competition Clutch Twin Disc

Went 11.8@122 first night at the track last night. This was on 16 psi, pump gas, street tuned by nonvtecallmotor. Its got more left in it on this boost level as last night was the first time I took a turbo car down the track.

Boner_Ben - How do you like your T67 HO? How does it respond on your setup?

I'm a big fan of this turbo. I eventually plan on going with a 84mm GSR block but this turbo still works well with the b16. I am getting 16 psi at around 6700 and shifting the car at 9400.

I built the engine last winter with CP pistons and eagle rods and I'm still only running 8psi.

I'm just too damn lasy to go to the dyno to raise the boost.

How pathetic is that? lol
