I say you get a GSR block instead though, they are pretty cheap now in the classifieds. Most of the GSR changeovers I see are around $1500 (without tranny) to the $2.5k range.

But then again, a B16-T will get you to 13's on drag radials with ease. It is really up to you and how good or badly you launch/drive.</TD></TR></TABLE>

the turbo i would be using is a garrette t3/t4 57/60

i got a b16 in my dc2. i dont understand it myself but i bought the car like that and the power just sucks ***! so i started to built a turbo kit and nearly done. my question is. do you think a b16 turbo would perform as well as ya'll in a heavier car like mine? or should i just drop a gsr in it? thanks for the feedback people i'll appreciate it

well, a stock b16 in a dc2 probably won't be that fast. i see stock gsr dc2 hitting high 15's at the track.

so you can look at it like this:

b16a boosted on 10psi (or whatever you want to run)

or

stock gsr

IMO, the boosted b16 set up will be faster than a stock gsr motor.

No question it should be a bit faster

I made a thread but no help

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1747508
so since this is the b16 turbo thread I thought it would be cool to post this here

sorry for all the noob questions, but this will be my first turbo car. Now I just picked a 2000 Si and want to turbo it (after reading the b16 turbo thread). Heres what Im planning on doing, please give your opinion on my future set up, what would u change/recommed..
stock block/head 2000 Si
edlebrock victor X, performer X or skunk 2
64mm TB (dont know what brand yet)
RC injectors (dont know what size yet.. thinking maybe 600 or 700? to big?)
t3/t4 garett turbo 57 trim
3 Inch downpipe
ram horn equal length mani (dont know which one yet)
3 Inch mandrel bent exhaust
2.5 inch intercooler piping
pwr intercooler (dont know what size yet)
upgraded clucth/fly wheel (dont know what yet)
hondata s300
tial wastegate (dont know what size.. 38mm 44mm??)
BOV

now my buddy had a eg with a 1.6 sohc vtec motor in it, mods were (stock block/head, 550 rc injectors, 2.5 inch downpipe/exhaust, log drag mani. tial wastegate 38mm..garett t3/t4 57 trim turbo. hondata s300 tuned at 9 psi.. it made 241whp and 189 tq..) now the car was super fun to drive. My main goal with my set up is to hit the 300whp 190/200 tq with the set up listed on my b16 tuned on hondata at around 9-10 maybe 11 psi--is 11 to much?) Now do u guys think that is possible w/ a good tuner? again thanx for all the help

RC injectors (dont know what size yet.. thinking maybe 600 or 700? to big?) (at least 650s)

3 Inch mandrel bent exhaust (perfect)

Really good thread,

Want to boost my b16 SiR S with this kit. Any chance some kind person could have a look and give me a honest opinion?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUPER-FR...wItem

Unsure if anything else is required?

Going to run stock internal but ARP head bolts & uprated head gasket on low boost.

Aiming for 250 bhp?

Thanks

I made 587 hp on an engine dyno.

I would proboly gain alot of power adjusting the camgeras some more.. I´ll see if I do that on a chassie dyno when I get the engine in the car. Igot a .82 exhaust housing to that I´m thinking of switching to.

I made my self the intercooler and piping amd alot of other fab stuff..

b16a2 84.5mm GE sleeves
endyne pistons
crower rods
ferrea valves reteiners and speings
ITR cams
mild port job by my self..
Special valve job that puts the sealing surfice as far out on the valve as possible.
GE intake
Full race mani
garret gt35r 1.06Ar
4" Downpipe
Stock bored out throttel body.
1000cc msd injectors
DTA Fast p8pro enginemanagement
3,8bar map sensor
