B16a t3/t04b problem!
B16a (complete stock) on t3/t04b on Exedy Stage 2 clutch.
I'm having this problem that whenever i'm on boost, the rpm doesn't climb smooth especially in between 6000-8000rpm. I hit boost @ around 5300rpm but at around 6800rpm it will sorta get stuck, i continue to WOT it will climb to 7000rpm but it will start to misfire. When it start to misfire i'll have to change gear, therefore my opponent will pull in front.
Can anyone help? Could it be tuning problem? or Could it be the clutch slipping?
thanks!

is your boost staying consistent, or creeping at higher rpm? whats your a/f ratio when it starts misfiring? maybe running lean, or having ign. probs like stated earlier. more info.
Hi guys, million thanks for your input, I'm tuning with Autronic Sm2 Ecu.
My boost is consistent, no boost creep. I don't have any A/F ratio monitoring device inside my car to monitor..
I called my workshop, he mentioned that he needs to check the plug gap and he said my car is tuned rich. He might need to lean out a little and see how it goes. I'm also betting that it could be due ign issue..

If its tuned a little lean or the plug gaps are too large (usually over .032"), you will get that sort of stuttering issue. Lean conditions do with via bad detonation, large plug gaps just don't fire. Overly-rich can also do that, as it also won't allow the plug to fire.
Not tuning a turbo Honda is about the worst thing you can do. Almost all other cars use MAF sensors, and don't need as much tuning. Hondas use speed-density systems with a MAP sensor, and *ANY* change can throw your AFR's and timing all out of whack.
Do not drive it hard at all until you get it tuned in some degree. Street tunes are still okay if you run conservative timing and a little rich.
