Default B16A Head Damamged, Fixable?

Heres a B16A head that was installed and tuned only 200miles ago. I did not do the damage, just dissasmbled the motor. My question is, does anyone think this is fixable? Can you reweld the valve seat and regrind it?

This is why we have revlimiters. This motor was a 82mm bore with .025 milled off the deck of the block, and .020 milled off the head. Its my belief that the timing belt was off a tooth. All of the intake valves made contact with the pistons @ 9500rpm's.

The head shop here in KC can work some magic I have seen them take a lot worse and after there done you would never even know the head had been to hell and back.

Would it even be cost efficent to repair that head over buying a used bare head? I couldn't see the labor on rewelding that to be very cheap at all.

I guess it depends on how much you love your head. Or in our case, how much money you have into it, and how fast you want it back on the car.

unless that head as some expensive port work done to it I would just buy a new b16 head for $300.

Head can be fixed, but I'd still feel more comfortable just getting another one.

Oh ****...I lost my breath reading this one. I was waiting for a period. I felt like I was talking to my little boy.........Blah...blah...blah...blah...blah...... ..!

I've had a few heads fixed like that. It'll cost about $500-650 to repair. Just buy a new one....not worth saving it.

when i droped a valve a few years ago my b16 head looked just like that. i tooked it everywhere and they all said that buying another head for 300-400 is cheeper than fixing the old head

buy another head unless its not stock and you have like a 1k port job on it
