Default b16a or b18c1 for boost?

I'm debating on whether to get a b16a or a b18c1 for my Crx and boosting it, but on stock internals. My goal is to get it in the 300 hp. Will a t3/t4 turbo get me up there with either one of these motors tuned? Also I see that the b16a is much cheaper than the b18c1, but the b18c1 is a bit better so is it worth the extra grand?
HELP ME OUT -THANX.

A B16A with a T3/T4 will get you 300hp, just don't skimp on engine management and/or tuning.

B16 you'll be able to make that much power easy.... but like He ^^ said don't skip on that stuff..... i know of two B16's making 400 to the ground ( stock internals ).... and it's more than just your turbo you also have to have a decent intercooler and engine management to get the job done...

either block can do it or get real close but the gsr block will be much safer handling that much hp on stock internals.but if you decide to use a b16 and your looking for one let me konw

b16 vs. gsr is like all motor vs. turbo

all motor is fun untill you drive a turbo car...then you just dont ever want to go back. 1.8>1.6

Thanx a lot for the replies. I have some more questions now..
-What size injectors would be best?
-What tranny if i'm going with the b16?
-What other engine managment do I need to make it reliable?

1. Injectors will depend on your power goal. For anything around 300whp, dsm 440cc's sould be good for 300whp.
2. The whole what tranny is best bullshit is debatable and could probally go on for days. In a nutshell, All thats diff is the gearing. LS = longest B16 = shortest, with gsr in the middle somewhere. Do a search and decide which one is for you
3. Any engine management would work. Use whatever works for you. OBD1 ecu with crome, hondata, uberdata, big baller AEM EMS, ect....Get what you can afford. Just make sure you trust your tuner with your cars LIFE.

I would say that the gsr is not worth the extra 1000 if you are goign to turbo it. Put that money towards tuning. You can get the same hp level with a b16 as you can a gsr, with only sacrafising the obvious torque due to loss of displacement

go with the GSR, but if the B16 is all you can afford then go for that then.

550cc injectors
b16 is shorter but whatever rele comes to you easier, b16 with the b16, gsr with the gsr.
