Default b16a 150psi compression test

Hi. I have a stock b16a i want to turbo but my compression test results were 150 psi on all cylinders

Should i turbo this motor? Is it safe? It runs good and doesnt burn oil
My power goal would be around 280hp
thanks

That's on the low end of compression numbers.

Did you have the engine warmed up and the throttle body open when doing the test?

I thought it was supposed to be on a cold engine? And yes it was on throttle open. Tried it with close throttle too but it reads the same

Il try to do it on a warm engine later today.
My vacuum reads 20in hg warm engine on idle by the way

Would a valve adjustment fix it?
Thanks

The engine needs to be warmed up to operating temperature.

Valve adjustment may help, but it would be minor.

Can i still boost it? Looking for 280hp or a little less. Engine runs good and doesnt burn oil.
The compression by the way is spot on the same on all cylinders
Thanks again

As long as you're within the service limits (you are), and the cylinders are all within 10% of each other, and the engine is properly taken care of, (and the turbo setup is done properly, with a good turbo and a proper tune) you'll be fine. Disco potato and go to town.

Ok good to hear that. What do you mean by disco potato and go to town?
Thanks for the reply

The Disco Potato is a certain turbo that would be good for your power goals, and has been proven many times in the past. They're also relatively easy to find.
