b16 turbo setup on 240cc injectors, help
posted this in the delsol forum but i thought it would be good here too, or even better. thanks guys
alright, well i have a 93 delsol si b16a sirII swap and doing a turbo build.
i need to hit the track this year before i do a teardown and new setup.
1. i wanna know how far i can push the stock 240cc injectors?(for now cause no money) looking to get it tuned on 10psi for track and drop to 6 on street.
2. and will the setup make more than 243ftlbs because i want to get the ACT HDSS, which is rated to 243lbs, for drivability reasons.
will the HDSS be enough?
it dyno'd with intake and 2.5" exhaust and the rest completely stock with 157.9whp and like 109ftlbs with slipping clutch, so it seems healthy
my setup:
stock b16a
walbro 255 pump
aem fpr
P28 chipped on crome
ARP head studs
custom shorty log mani
garrett T3/T04e turbo .50ar cold/.63ar hot
deltagate 38mm wastegate
FMIC
2.5 full exhaust
2.5 downpipe
drag radials
any suggestions?

selll all your turbo stuff right now before you do something stupid, like try to run a turbo setup on 240cc injectors.
I'm selling some DSM 440cc injectors right now. They'll support around 300whp.

with an fmu and inline pump maybe. but thats antiquated, ancient technology.
its good that you posted here also, unflrtunately you will get the same result, the stock injectors cannot support your hp goal CORRECTLY alone (without an fmu. that being the incorrectly part)
spend an few bucks on some dsm's and a resistor box, you are going the correct route getting a programable ecu.
spend all this money to not upgrade the most important part.

Re: (jmm96gsr)
dont forget, though we have small motors you have no idea how much fuel they need at 9000rpm even in NA trim, 240cc on a boosted b16? forget about it unless you wanna just crank up the fuel pressure but i hope you have something to monitor duty cycle with... 1 injector looks up and bam! bye bye engine dont get hasty, relax and wait until you can get injectors...

Agree with everyone on here. You will definatly need injectors to support any amount of boost. I have a set of dsm 450's + resistor ox when you get cash LMK. Otherwise stay NA for now until you do get the cash.

This is going nowhere good. Something tells me this is your daily driver to. Im not gonna lie, i have had a turbo B16 with an fmu yearssss ago, but its a complete waste of money for shitty technology. For the price of an FMU and missing link, you can get yourself some dsm 450cc injectors and your computer chipped by phearable.net with a BASEMAP that allows your to drive (UNDER BOOST) until you save some money for a tune.

Re: (hotimportcrx)
alright, I was always gonna get Dsm 450's, infact just purchased some! I just dint kno what the stocks can do. It's not going turbo until there in. Plus it's not my daily. I have 3 other vehicles. Please don't hate cause I asked a questiOn. My delsol was turbo before and I ran 9pounds on it with no fuel mods. So I was curious. I'll post up dyno and track times. Hopfully 10pounds isn't too much fir the motor.

Re: (TeamNIR)
they werent hating. its just pretty common sense.
240cc injector can not support boost.
help yourself and read about them.
ima give you a hint.
find out what will be your power range in x psi.
then find out how much injectors you will need to get that power.
