B16 rebuild questions need help....those who have done a rebuild
Stock internals b16a. currently at 9 psi.
Compression across the board is 80 80 160 160. Smoking from the back of block and valve cover. most seem to say the rings are gone or burnt. Its being pulled out right now. my question what pistons to use when I rebuild it and at what bore. also do I need to sleeve it or not? I want to possibly run up to 20 psi. IF you have done a performance rebuild, can I get a list of all your internals?????
Thanks everyone.

i went with wiseco pistons on my b18 block... i heard good things about them...
go with ARP head studs and Eagle rods at the least...
if u wanna run 20 psi... i would recommend sleeves... but its all depending on your budget...
some people will say that u can run 20 psi on stock sleeves, but im only gonna run mine at 15-16 only..

Re: B16 rebuild questions need help....those who have done a rebuild (Topdawgg)
Jason hunt and Evans have gotten stock gsrs to 480whp @ 23-25psi, and stock b16 to around 385-405hp @ 23psi, it's all about tuning properly. So in general, I would run stock sleeves to around 18psi, and not any higher. But that's my choice, 15psi everyday would be hella-fun for your b16, just get forged bottom end and your ready to go.
