B16 cams for turbo
Well Im building my head for turbo and was wondering would I get good results with B16 cams. Or should I wait off for some GSR Or ITR cams for better results. I have found some B16s for 60 bucks.

Re: B16 cams for turbo (Boosted2K)
it depends on the manifold/turbo and the rest of the exhaust.
the problem is backpressure, you cant run a big cam that has alot of overlap if you have alot of backpressure... ie, small turbine, log manifold, small downpipe.. if you have that type of setup, use the smaller cams... b16
if you have the bling tubular equal length manifold with a big turbine and 3inch exhaust use the bigger cams... itr/ctr, etc.

Im planning togo this direction so I should use the ITR/CTR. But if I still went the cheap way out the B16's, would the power difference be huge? Im Planning to bump at least 550 whp.
Thanks for the reply

Re: B16 cams for turbo (ildknyli)
This is on my set up where I do rev high, I will eventually pull this up to 10,500. But here you go, alot of power at the same peak at 8700rpm but kept climbing after that too with ITR over 2000 Spec Si B16A cams

I have crower turbo cams and it keeps pulling all the way to redline in each gear. I run 22 psi to 8000 rpm, there is no flat spot. just pulling, duration is 272 or 292. not alot of overlap, huge difference from a stock vtec cam.
