Default Average Oil temp

What is the average oil temp after driving for an extended time?

the reason i ask is because i used jb weld to patch a hole on the inside of my oil pan where the welder missed. Will the jb weld withstand the heat inside the oil pan from the oil? i think jb weld goes up to only 300 degrees. would i be safe, i dont want a piece of the jb weld to melt and get sucked in the engine.

i saw this post, but will it hold for extended drives.

thanks in advance

No, your oil is never going to get that hot.

it might get hotter if you do a top speed run or drive on a road course (i know a guy who was NA and would see temps up to 280F on the track) but otherwise you should haev nothing to worry about
