avc-r install question
looking for a link (i know there has to be one)
tried to search but nothing came up
purchased it used with no install instructions
thanks for any help
And i was thinking about installing it in my glove box so it can't be seen but it would make it difficult to use it.
Is this something that should be mounted where it can be easily used?
ok so purple can go to rpm or injector
is there a difference between the two or will they both have the same outcome?

Try this
http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdfInstallation/22.pdf
There is a little info on here
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=211050
But i would go mostly off of Apexi's website. For the most part the install should be the easy part, the setup on the AVC-R is when you are going to have some fun. GL

now i can ask a question lol... when the gear based boost control is on... lets say first gear 5psi, second gear 8psi, third gear 10psi.. etc etc..
each has its own fuel map, correct? that would mean you'd have to tune each boost setting, with the avc-r being a piggyback type EMS. doesn't interchange with hondata, or crome, neptune, or anything else, right?

well what i was told by my tuner is that you tune for high boost and it will be "safe" on the low boost setting.

this is how the gear based boost controller works.
i don't know if it changes the fuel map or not but I'm still learning

AVCR is a boost controller not a fuel controller. You still need to tune the car the way the controller is setup.

This is the turbo timer that i purchased it came in the same box

i think that this is part of the turbo timer but i don't know. any input?

And i was thinking about installing it in my glove box so it can't be seen but it would make it difficult to use it.
Is this something that should be mounted where it can be easily used?

That is a 2.5bar map sensor with a pigtail on it for wiring up. It would require the proper ecu support to work.
I have my avcr wired through my glovebox, it lives there when the car is parked. When I'm driving, I bring it out and mount it in middle of the dash (old civic, flat area, velcro is your friend).

Last i checked... that is a 2.5bar... not a 3bar.
I p28 with crome will handle it fine. It just requires wiring the sensor in.
