Scramble switch is a switch run from orange to ground. You can set secondary settings, so when switched, it temporarily raises the boost pressure a preset amount for a preset time.

Overboost.

so I'm really close to having my kit done
is this something that i can install now even if it takes another month or so before the turbo is installed and completed?

And i was thinking about installing it in my glove box so it can't be seen but it would make it difficult to use it.
Is this something that should be mounted where it can be easily used?

well you shouldnt be usisng it when you are driving normally it can result in a crash, however i had mine mounted in the dash DIN spot and had my radio relocated down in the optional console, and you can have it installed before the turbo stuff is in, and not cause any problems

You can use it as a boost gauge, an rpm gauge and a few others. I personally didn't mount it permanently visible because its something a walking by theif will take.

You can set it and forget it and place it somewhere hidden. If you need more boost, hit scamble, if you want to switch to your higher boost setting... just poke at the box wherever you put it.. takes 2 seconds to switch boost. Since it has off/A/B and scramble.

My "driving" mount location is highly visible because i like it as a gauge.. i just don't leave it out.
