Autometer A/F gauge and bad O2 sensor readings
I have read that the A/F gauge will couse incorrect readings to be sent to the ECU causing tuning issues. is this true? the gauge decreasing the voltage?
I just picked up an Autometer unit and wanted to know before i hooked it up.

Re: (Turbo E)
IMHO the Autometer A/F guage is nothing more than a nice light show. If you are using this thing to tune, don't. Just get a wideband 02 now. You can get one for under 350.

Re: Autometer A/F gauge and bad O2 sensor readings (Turbo E)
I believe this is true. I installed a Apexi turbo time w/ the A/F gauge. While working to track down a bad wire, I had to use a volt/ohm meter. While doing so, I realised that if I put the meter on the O2 wires and read the voltage (this is with the car off-so it should stay constant), the voltage reading at the A/F gauge would change. I believe there is a small bleed off of power, but very little since the meters only use the power coming from the O2 sensor as a reference and not a power supply.
