wideband O2 + autometer air fuel gauge =?
I have a wideband o2 installed as my primary o2, and was wondering what would happen if i were to wire in a air fuel gauge to it? Would it be accurate in any way at all? I beleive the voltage is 0-5v for my o2 sensor- thanks

not if its not a wide band meter, and why do u have a wideband sensor without the gauge for it its useless without it or some way to datalog with it?

i wouldnt..i dont think it will work either..just get a whole set up it is gonna be a lot more reliable anyway. i had innovate on my last car that was turbo and it never gave me any problems.

Most cheap AF gauges are 0-1V, for narrowband. Useless.
Get a wideband gauge, or hook up a voltmeter and watch the voltage.

PLX have an adapter that lets you feed the wideband output to a narrow band gauge, and it actually gives you a useful reading. I have mine set up with an Autometer A/F gauge, and it's quite accurate.

The problem is that few widebands give a linear output for the 0-5v wideband output. The only I know of is the Innovate, as it is adjustable & fully linear from the factory. There will be spots where it will be off if its not designed for the curve your wideband puts out.
EMS's like Crome and eCtune such that allow input via the stock narrowband input require lamda tables to match the voltage to the correct AF.
Moates.net also sells the O-meter that you can adjust for different widebands, but it will stil have issues if your wideband output isn't linear.
