ATTN: Experienced TIG Welders
what do you guys think about this machine?
http://www.welding-direct.com/130amptigwel.html
WIll it be able to do IC piping, exhausts, exhaust manifolds, and the likes? I don't need anything like a synchrowave that weighs like 100+lbs. Just something that will be nice enough to make strong enough welds on at least 1/4" or thinner steel.
Or what about this one? Will it be able to do what I ask of it?

As for using the dryer outlet for the 230v...if my dryer outlet is the circular style, can I change the plug on teh welder? How can I do that?

Re: ATTN: Experienced TIG Welders (Paul_Vang)
yeah u could use a dryer outlet. why not try to find a used welder?
judging by the front of this welder i see a + and a -. this means electrode/work and a ground. there seems to be no foot pedal control, and there is definately no hi-freq start. I reallllllly recommend trying both machines before you buy this one. go to a welding shop that has a maxstar 140 and ask to try it before you buy a machine. This one is a cheap copy of a maxstar 140.
liftarc is not like hi freq.
