Well just some insight on this Mike is the 82ft-lbs figure comes from Golden Eagle and Golden Eagle only has ever recommended this and with their blocks. I haven;t and I could be worng hearing of others torquing the head studs that much. Like I said I could be wrong but GE is the only people I have heard recommending this figure. I trusted them before and torqued my ARP studs to that with my GE block, unfortunately the studs weren't the problem.

yeah, i understand but the thing is regardless of sleeves the aluminum head is not GE, the aluminum block is not GE. I dont see the difference on a darton block running 30psi. It's one of those things. if it aint broke dont fix it. i have had no issues with warping heads, blown headgaskets, stretched studs, head lifting under boost or anything at all at 82ftlbs with oil.

ive always done 75 jsut becuase i have seen people strip blocks out and i really dont want that to happen. Im sure it doesnt happen till like 100 but 75 doesnt loose the gasket.
If you want to torque higher, use bigger head studs.

Which is why you can go to the AEBS head studs which are 5% larger than ARP

Great studs, I think ARP have now dine the dimples at the bottom of the studs too.

You can't put Mustang products on Hondas DUH!
Yeah I have heard of people running som ebig studs from another make before so it's the Mustangs then for the studs? Also MR2 guys I think use DSM ARP studs with success or something like that, they were talking about it Abacus Racing before.
