arp head stud question

Default arp head stud question

if the head studs are not all the way in and bottom out on the block will the head studs back out and cause the head gasket to blow

Possible. You are supposed to 'snug' the studs into the block... but I usually torque them in at around 9-10ftlbs to make sure they are all in uniformly

ya make sure they are snug cause then they will loosen up cause it did it to me lol

yea they only need like 10 ft/lbs, which is pretty much hand tight.

ok they are for an y8 and i have a z6 and they go all the way to the bottom but dont come out of the head
